MODULE 4

2. Things to Consider

Questions to Ask:

  1. Are you already trained/experienced?
What can you offer to the community? Do you have knowledge or skills that could be useful to someone else? How can you use what you already know to make extra income?

  2. What assets do you have to offer?
Do you own material items that could earn you more money? Take inventory of the things you have that could be useful for a side hustle. Some examples could be a computer, vehicle, or camera.

  3. Do you need cash fast?
What is your level of urgency? If you’re in need of fast cash, consider a job in the food & bev industry. Tips can feed you quicker than a lot of other typical side jobs.

  4. How flexible is your schedule?
Being in the performing industry can be incredibly time consuming. Finding extra time to work a job is difficult. Not to mention, our job sometimes requires a lot of travel. Consider your own situation and come up with a realistic number of hours you could potentially work every week, and decide whether or not you would be able to work in one physical location.

Your Challenge for This Week…

Use page 12 in your workbook to begin the brainstorming process. List three areas in which you feel skilled or experienced, and three resources you could use. If you’re feeling stuck, consider all of the training you received in school, and look around your home for valuable assets.
